  • Translation: Mingqian Que She(Sparrow Tongue) 2025 Spring Tea
  • Type: Green Tea
  • Cultivar: Laochuan Tea
  • Origin: Yibin, Sichuan
  • Harvest Date: 2025/03/12
  • Storage Methods: Refrigeration, Sealing, Moistureproof, Avoid light
  • The source of the Yangce river is in the city Yibin, in Sichuan province, where the rivers Jinsha and Minjiang also meet. it is called "the first castle of the great Yangce". The Que She is a flat, longish shaped tea made with the water of these beautiful mountains. The shape is like a "sparrow tongue", that is where its name, Que She comes from.
  • Meng Ding Que She is the famous green tea in Sichuan province. According to the record, it has more than 1000 years of history. During Qin and Han Dynasties, the tea culture and making of tea was increasingly common. Thus, the tea plantation was vigorously developed in Sichuan. At that time, the process of tea was vastly developed and the foundation of tea making was laid. A number of fine teas was produced and designated as the tribute tea for the emperor. As early as in the Tang and Song Dynasties, the Sichuan tea production quantity was top ranked in China.
  • Que She is an artisan tea that requires attention to detail and intensive handwork. This tea is carefully processed in order to maintain its shape. Each leaf is long and remained intact due to gentle handling. The fresh bud is carefully hand-plucked in early spring.
  • It has a bright green color and a fresh fragrance. Its infusion has a yellowish-green color, whit the fine hairs of the tea leaves swimming on the top. Its fragrance is reminiscent of young chestnuts, and it has the aroma of green bamboo. It's sweet aftertaste, "Hui Gan", lingers for a long time.
  • This tea looks so beautiful when it is brewed in a long glass. While steeping, each bud absorbs the water and restore its original three dimensional contour. The bud is vivid yellowish green and tends to float upright in the water. It looks like the algaes in the sea. You can enjoy the mini aquarium in your glass.
  • Glass Cup Brewing Method:
The ratio of green tea to water is 1:50, and a glass cup of water about 300ml can pour 5g of tea.

Pour water into the cup (the water temperature is 80~85°C), pour it slowly along the wall of the cup, and let the tea leaves fully infiltrate. The speed of water injection should not be too fast.

Wait for 3 to 5 minutes, and you can drink the delicious, green tea soup, and then when you drink 1/3 of the teacup, you can refill the water again, usually brew three times.

Excellent Loose Leaf Green Tea

I am very happy with this product. Delivery was fast; the tea leaves are fresh light-green looking with great flavor. Most importantly the loose leaves are intact and wholesome. It reminds me of the excellent tea a friend brought to me from Su-Chou China before the Pandemic. So happy to find this great tea without a trip to China. It is pricey compared to some well known brands and tea bags variety, but to me it certainly worth it. I am now confident enough to try other varieties carried by the same merchant.

Brilliant grassy, subtle white fruit flavor notes

Brilliant grassy, subtle white fruit flavor notes. This one was an experiment for me. I expected it to be good and
was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. A great addition to anyone's green tea list.

A distinct green tea

Some green tea just doesn't taste good or is too floral. Adding some of these tea leaves helps add richness and body immediately.

One of the best Green Tea

I love the pure green tea taste. The green tea flavor is very strong with only a few tea leaves. The tea leaves are so tender that sometimes I even eat them after drinking the tea. It has been my continuous green tea purchasing resource. Thank you.
