  • The Enamel Peony Gaiwan is decorated with enamel colors, a decorative technique derived from painted enamel. Porcelain with enamel color decoration, also known as enameled porcelain (formally called "painted enamel on porcelain"), is often referred to simply as enamel color. Enamel color is a technique that transfers the painted enamel technique onto the porcelain body as an overglaze decoration.
  • The Enamel Peony Gaiwan, with its lavishly painted peony flowers, representing prosperity and good fortune. The design floats on a brilliant royal yellow background. It has always been the most popular pieces in our set of six Imperial Gaiwans. With a bowl perfectly nested into the base and a precisely fitted lid, this is an elegant vessel and an excellent example of the Chinese art and history of tea.
  • The Enamel Peony Gaiwan is adorned with diamond-shaped enamel color decoration, with a plum blossom motif in the center as an accent. It also features blooming peony flower patterns on the lid. The base of the lidded bowl is similarly adorned with powder enamel color decoration. When the Gaiwan is placed on the base, it can also hold tea to prevent any spills onto the table.
  • Enamel is a kind of glaze, enamel decoration, and technique that transplanted painting enamel techniques to the porcelain body. Because the enamel process is strict, the selection of the porcelain body requires the porcelain body wall to be thin, white, and delicate, and the painting is even. Strict craftsmanship such as regularity, close combination of patterns and colors, and meticulous glazing of the embryo.
  • This Enamel Peony Gaiwan is a beautiful piece of art that combines the ancient technique of painted enamel with the intricate craftsmanship of porcelain production. It can be used as a tea utensil or displayed as a stunning decorative item in a tea room or living room, adding a unique artistic atmosphere to your space. Whether for personal use or as a gift, this enamel color Gaiwan is an admirable choice.

Breathtakingly beautiful

I bought a pair of these gorgeous yellow Gong-Fu style teacups. They're the height of beauty, and extremely generous in size. The colors are bright and perfectly applied, the lids and saucers allow for graceful, unhurried consumption of tea. They arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I cannot imagine how to improve such a perfect experience! My deepest thanks to the seller, who did everything so well!!

A beautiful and well-made gaiwan.

The saucer has a deep recess that fits the cup perfectly and securely. The detail is crisp. The cup is translucent under light. The lid fit well and provides a good seal. I was very pleased with the cup. Shipping and response time was reasonable as promised, and the packing was very secure. I highly recommend this Gaiwan. The pour from the cup is excellent if you want to brew in it, or it works perfectly when using the lid to stir and move the leaves.
